products at the discrete function level including splitters, switches and AWGs,
Inplane can address applications at a higher level of integration up through the
subsystem level including ROADMs, transmitters, receivers and signal conditioning
modules. Inplane also offers amplifier products based on its unique EDWA technology, which
are appropriate for a range of network applications including 40G amplified receivers.
With the increasing deployment of Metro networks and FTTx, Inplane’s products are increasingly
relevant. Their manufacturability and the cost efficiencies associated with the elimination of
packaging levels via integration make them competitive solutions.
Lossless and Gain Enhanced Modules (GEMs), enabled by on-chip gain, offer flexibility in functional
partitioning for network design and a path to more rapid deployment and reconfiguration.
